News

On 19 March 2018 the general assembly for 2017 took place: minutes.

November 2017, Portrait Letter Michael Grossniklaus (deutsche Version)

The second of our portraits in 2017 is about Prof. Dr. Michael Grossniklaus: his research in the area of databases and information systems focuses on developing innovative database technologies to support novel and emerging application domains. Since November 2017 he is a full professor at the University of Konstanz, where he often works in interdisciplinary fields, such as bioinformatics.

October 2017, Portrait Letter Mirja Kühlewind (deutsche Version)

This year’s portraits are - again after a long time - from academia: Mirja Kühlewind is a postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich’s Computer Engineering and Networks Laboratory (TIK). Together with her colleagues, she develops technology that makes the internet more secure and more functional. She is coordinator of the EU-sponsored Measurement and Architecture for a Middleboxed Internet (MAMI) project and also a Transport Area Director for the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).

Collaboration with the ETH Alumni association

In 2014, the association of computer science alumni of ETH Zurich (IAETH) agreed to work in closer collaboration with the ETH alumni association (ETH Alumni). ETH Alumni is ETH Zurich’s general alumni organisation. It is open to all ETH graduates whatever subject they may have studied. IAETH is exclusively for computer science graduates of ETH Zurich. Now each member of IAETH will automatically become a full member of ETH Alumni and be able to take advantage of all its services. We operate a joint database and the ETH Alumni office collects membership fees for both organisations.
